Manchester United incoming manager Erik ten Hag is hoping to get his players back early for pre-season.
The Dutchman knows that he has to do a lot of work on the training pitch to revive United's fortunes after a miserable season.
The Red Devils are reeling after a 4-0 loss to Brighton, and may finish as low as seventh when the season concludes.
According to The Mirror, ten Hag believes United need to put in two weeks of fitness work before their regular pre-season preparations begin.
He is adamant that his players will be fit enough to play his style of football.
Ten Hag was expected to start pre-season July 4th, but the players could be back on June 20th.
