Gerrard rejects Derby for Rangers title dream

Steven Gerrard will turn down any approach from Derby County to become the club's manager.

Gerrard was touted as a replacement for Frank Lampard, who looks set to move to Chelsea to take the job vacated by Maurizio Sarri.

But The Times indicates that Gerrard would turn down any approach from Derby.

While a job in the Championship is appealing, Gerrard would rather attempt to win the Scottish Premiership with Rangers in the coming season.

While Lampard's departure is not yet official, it appears a matter of time given Chelsea are serious about installing him as their next boss.

Lampard helped Derby to the Championship playoff final, where they lost to Aston Villa.
