Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard knows his team have a lot of areas to improve in the coming weeks.
The Birmingham-based club now have two wins from two under Gerrard, who took over from Dean Smith.
They defeated Brighton and Crystal Palace in consecutive games, but Gerrard knows they have a long way to go to achieve their ambitions.
"We certainly did see improvements, we wanted to be better in our positioning in certain situations in terms of out of possession." he said after the Palace game, per Express and Star.
"We wanted to be a bit more aggressive in certain areas of the pitch and certainly in the first 45 minutes the players had clearly listened because I thought we were really tough to play against and that first half was the base and the platform to play some lovely stuff from."
