Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is targeting a loan deal for Liverpool midfielder Harry Wilson.

The Sun says Wilson is wanted on loan by old-boy Gerrard at Rangers.

The new Gers boss saw Welsh wizard Wilson's progress in the Under-23 side before he went to Hull.

The 21-year-old may be allowed out again for game time by manager Jurgen Klopp — and Gerrard has asked to take him to Ibrox.

Rangers are in European action during the summer but Wilson may be needed by Klopp for pre-season tour duty.

The winger is also fancied by Huddersfield, Aston Villa and Leeds.
