The Germany U23 side have defeated Nigeria 2-0 to progress into the final of the Olympic Men's Football tournament.
The Nigerian side, led by Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel, will now play Honduras in the Bronze medal match while Germany will take on hosts Brazil in the final.
Germany took the lead early in the first-half through 20-year-old defender Lukas Klostermann.
The scoreline remained the same until the 89th-minute when substitute striker Nils Peterson finished a counter-attacking move to put the result beyond doubt.
Mikel will attempt to lead Nigeria to third place in Belo Horizonte on Saturday before returning to London to get himself ready for club action under Antonio Conte.
