Former Barcelona midfielder Gerard is chasing a MLS contract. The Spain international is a free agent after leaving Recreativo Huelva at the end of last season and has been offered terms by English Championship club Sheffield United.
However, Gerard would prefer to continue his career in the USA and is waiting for offers from interested MLS clubs.
