Genoa are still to confirm Alberto Malesani as new coach.

Marassi chief Enrico Preziosi has today stated that Malesani is one of two options he is assessing.

"Malesani is among the candidates," the President said. "It is now down to him and one other Coach.

"Both of them are now on holiday so I am currently trying to make a decision.

"I still have two Coaches on the books and I don't want to make a mistake. I'll definitely make an appointment next week.

"Malesani intrigues me and if I had to make a decision today then it would be him, but let's just wait and see."
