Genoa director of sport Marroccu: Better to suspend all of Serie A

Genoa director of sport Francesco Marroccu feels the entire Serie A should be suspended for Coronavirus concerns.

Torino-Parma was also called off this morning, so four Serie A matches have been cancelled today, specifically Inter-Sampdoria, Atalanta-Sassuolo and Verona-Cagliari.

Genoa-Lazio did go ahead in the early kick-off and Grifone director of sport Marroccu is concerned.

“We have the utmost respect for the decision made by the authorities, but the request we could make would be to ensure uniformity of the tournament," Marroccu told DAZN.

“Therefore, if the situation does not change, they might do better to suspend all of Serie A during the Coronavirus outbreak rather than just a few games here and there."
