Genoa are closing on a deal for Giuseppe Rossi.

The former Italy and Fiorentina striker is a free agent as he recovers from another round of knee surgery.

Sky Italia says Rossi has already agreed terms with Genoa and is due to have a medical today.

If he passes the tests, he could put pen to paper on terms immediately.

Being a free agent, Rossi would be available to new Genoa coach Davide Ballardini from this weekend.
