Genk drag Man Utd to court over past transfer

Genk are taking Manchester United to court over a past deal for Indy Boonen.

The Sun says United face a hearing at the Court of Arbitration for Sport over the signing of Belgian wonderkid Boonen, who has since joined Oostende without playing a first-team game for United.

Rivals City and Arsenal lost out as United snapped up Boonen, then 16, in 2015.

But this summer the winger, now 19, snubbed a new three-year contract because he wanted first-team football and returned to Belgium with KV Oostende on a free.

Neither United nor Genk would comment but CAS confirmed it was a dispute over the training compensation payable by United.
