Genk sports director Dimitri De Conde has revealed Sheffield United made an offer for Sander Berge.
The Blades made an attempt for the Norway midfielder last summer.
And De Conde, speaking with VG, admits they've returned with a new proposal.
However, for now, Genk have refused to do business, despite Berge's contract running down.
De Conde said in November: "Napoli is interested in Sander, it's a possibility. We also know that Liverpool are also interested and Klopp praised him for his performance after the match at Anfield.
"There are clubs in Italy that follow Berge and Napoli may be one of them, but at this stage there are no bids on the table. From the next week things can change. We have not had any official contact with Napoli yet."
