Genk chief De Conde concedes Napoli, Liverpool target Berge a shop window star

Genk sports chief Dimitri de Conde expects interest to arrive in January for Sander Berge.

The Norway midfielder has been linked with Liverpool and Napoli after a superb Champions League campaign.

De Conde is under no illusions regarding Berge's rising star.

Sander Berge has shown me this campaign that he is on the way to becoming a major player. In difficult circumstances, he does try to take the team in tow. I think he has once again created added value for himself," said De Conde.

"The football world sees Sander Berge as someone who stands up in difficult circumstances, also at this level, and that is very positive for him."

He also stated: "Those who are not happy in Genk can leave. That is a solution, albeit a sudden one. But it is clear that we have a lot of work ahead of us."
