Jean-Philippe Gbamin is adamant he will prove his worth to Everton fans.

The midfielder hasn't played since the 1-0 win over Watford at Goodison Park in August 2019.

He told the Liverpool Echo, "No it's not easy [being out for so long], but now I have three years left on my contract, so I will show why they bought me.

"This is my target, I will work hard in training and show that I can start some of the games.

"But we have to be a little patient too, because after two years of injury it's never easy."
