Manchester City defender Eric Garcia has spoken about the teammate that most impressed him when he joined up with the first team.

The 18-year-old emerged as an option for Pep Guardiola's City side after injuries to several key defenders early in the season.

It has taken him time to settle, since arriving from Barcelona three years ago.

But Garcia is finding his feet in the Premier League, while he is impressed by the quality of one teammate in particular: Bernardo Silva.

"Everyone is at a phenomenal level, but Bernardo Silva surprised me the most," he told Marca.

"I had seen him at Monaco but not much, so I was surprised when I first trained with him."
