Umberto Gandini has pulled out of a return to AC Milan.
Having resigned as GM with AS Roma, Gandini was expected to return to Milan as part of the club's management structure.
Gazzetta dello Sport says Gandini informed new Milan chief Ivan Gazidis of his decision last night.
Gazidis and Gandini have a good relationship, thanks to their time together with the ECA and UEFA club meetings.
However, Gandini has decided at the last minute not to accept the offer of returning to the Rossonero and will now take time away from the game before making his next move.
