Galliani: I tried to get Conte and Sarri to AC Milan

Former AC Milan chief Adriano Galliani admits Serie A should be grateful to Inter Milan for keeping this season interesting against title rivals Juventus.

The Monza GM concedes Juve would already have the title sewn up if not for Antonio Conte's Inter.

He said, "Conte is right, without Inter the championship would have already ended in November. The only rival for the Scudetto, the ninth consecutive Juve, can not be anything else that Inter.

"I tried to bring Conte to Milan, I courted him but it didn't go well. Even (Maurizio) Sarri ... And not only them: in football there are so many things that are said and not said. And if I were still today at Milan I would have tried to take (Mauro) Icardi, I am convinced he is an extraordinary striker."
