Former AC Milan GM Adriano Galliani admits he has great admiration for Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri.

Now in charge of Serie C Monza, Galliani confirmed he tried to hire Sarri while running things at the Rossonero.

“I think Sarri is a phenomenal coach. An absolute phenomenon," Galliani told Radio CRC.

“I am in love with tacticians who make their teams play beautiful football. It's true, I did court Sarri. I also courted (Marco) Giampaolo.

“I do like Coaches who approach the game in a certain way."
