Fiorentina owner Rocco Commisso made an attempt to buy AC Milan, it has been revealed.
Former Milan chief Adriano Galliani, now running Monza, says he wanted the Rossonero before Yonghong Li's takeover.
“Fiorentina are doing very well now," Galliani told Calciomercato.com.
“Commisso was on the verge of buying Milan. I don't understand why Yonghong Li didn't sell Milan to him.
“He lost everything in a few days and Elliott took over. I never understood it.
“I met him in Milan, he made a great impression on me and what Li did remains a great mystery.
“Fiorentina got a great deal with Commisso. I also want to point out the Della Valles. I'd like to know what would've happened to Fiorentina without them."
