AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani says winning the Champions League is more important to them than lifting the Scudetto. The Rossoneri are currently top of the Serie A table after their derby victory and the favourites for the title.
"Milan care about the Champions League more than the Scudetto, but if it goes well, then we'd win it this season for the first time in seven years. There is the hunger to win it," said the Vice-President at the presentation of a new book about the club.
"We are the club with more trophies than any other in the world. All the players who have come through these doors contributed to building a winning tradition on the international scene.
"I think that emotions are very special about this side, as many players come to Milan because they like the way they are treated and the family atmosphere within the club.
"If I were to choose the greatest moment in my time here, I'd say it was Andriy Shevchenko's penalty in the 2003 Champions League Final against Juventus, but also Jon Dahl Tomasson's goal against Ajax made me go crazy.
"The first Champions League triumph against Steaua Bucharest also has a special place within my heart."
