AC Milan GM Adriano Galliani has hit out at protesting fans.

Galliani says supporters should be "grateful" to president Silvio Berlusconi.

"I think the Milan fans should be forever grateful to Silvio Berlusconi," Galliani declared.

"He's won eight Scudetti and five Champions Leagues. The decisions the President makes are made for the sake of Milan."

The director also gave backing to Coach Filippo Inzaghi, and dodged a question about Sinisa Mihajlovic.

"Pippo has a contract for next year to remain as our Coach, and if he does well from now until the end of the season he'll be our Coach next year too.

"We need to have a good finish to the League campaign where we had a lot of problems in January and February.

"Seven points [from the European places] is a lot, but we have to believe as long as it's mathematically possible."
