Chelsea youngster Conor Gallagher is ready to sign for West Bromwich Albion on loan.

The 20-year-old is also signing a new contract with Chelsea.

Gallagher was wanted permanently by Leeds United, but it appears he has chosen a temporary Blues exit for now.

Goal.com indicates Gallagher, who was on loan with Swansea City and Charlton Athletic last season, almost signed for Crystal Palace on loan as well.

He is highly rated at Chelsea and is an England under-21 international.

Gallagher will hope to gain experience at West Brom and then convince manager Frank Lamprd to give him a first team shot next season.
