Gallagher to get new chance at Blackburn

Blackburn Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is handing striker Paul Gallagher a chance to re-establish himself at Ewood Park.

The Lancashire Telegraph says Rovers' home-grown forward has looked destined for an Ewood Park exit, having spent the past two seasons on loan in the Championship, but boss Allardyce will give him the chance to revive his career in East Lancashire.

Several Championship clubs have been circling the Scot, after an impressive campaign with Plymouth last time out, but Gallagher could yet provide Rovers with an answer to their firepower shortage.
