Galatasaray are in contact with Liverpool for Xherdan Shaqiri.

For the moment, negotiations have been put on-hold due to the coronavirus suspension in England, however Sabah says Gala were in talks with Liverpool before the Premier League break about a price for the Swiss.

Gala favour an initial loan arrangement with an option to buy outright and plan to sell to make room for Shaqiri.

The midfielder has been with Liverpool for two seasons, but has struggled to establish himself as a first team regular in manager Jurgen Klopp's plans.

Shaqiri's contract with the Reds runs to 2023.
