Galatasaray haggling over personal terms with Arsenal midfielder Elneny

Galatasaray are haggling over personal terms with Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny.

The Daily Express says Elneny is close to leaving Arsenal but his wage demands are proving a sticking point in negotiations with Galatasaray.

The Turkish giants are poised to make one last-ditch attempt to tempt Mohamed Elneny into quitting Arsenal.

Elneny, 27, who joined Arsenal three years ago from Swiss side Basel, has struggled to feature under Emery since he took over from Arsene Wenger last summer.

He has attracted the interest of several Turkish Super Lig sides this summer, most notably Galatasaray and their fierce rivals Fenerbahce.

Elneny earns around £55,000 a week at Emirates Stadium where he has three years remaining on his contract.

Galatasaray have offered him just £25,000, however, and he isn't keen on taking such a big pay cut.
