Galatasaray coach Domenec Torrent admits Barcelona's experience was key to their victory last night.

Barca reached the Europa League quarterfinals after their 2-1 win in Istanbul.

Torrent remarked afterwards: "We have competed very well. It is not easy to play two games against Barcelona maintaining this level. I am very proud of my team.

"In the second half we were one less when they scored the goal for us. The rules are what they are and they have been smarter. We had the game where we wanted.

"The last five minutes we had clear chances because we went with everything up, but there is nothing left to do but congratulate Barcelona.

"Everyone knows what happened this week, that we couldn't even train in this stadium. The key was to fit in so early in the second half. That destabilized the plans we had. We have to know who we were playing against. You can win a game against Barça, but competing against them in two games is complicated."
