Gabriel Jesus ‘got it right’ picking Man City and Guardiola - Brazil boss Tite

Brazil national team manager Tite believes Gabriel Jesus made the right choice in selecting Pep Guardiola as his next coach.

The 19-year-old striker will officially join Manchester City from Palmeiras in January after signing a £27million deal in the summer.

Time has seen first-hand what Jesus is capable of, having scored four goals in four international for Brazil's senior side, and is confident he will only improve under the guidance of Guardiola.

"He's one hell of a kid. What does this guy have? His turn of pace, his ten-metre sprints; they're very strong," he told SporTV in Brazil.

"The only thing I put to him: don't let up on the marking, don't commit fouls, and don't be shy of getting the ball and going at your man, because of the force he has. He's a horse. He's a very strong animal.

"[When Manchester City signed him] Gabriel didn't consult me because we were just getting to know each other.

"I believe he made the right choice because of the coach. Normally you pick the club with the coach and, yes, he got it right."
