West Ham United have received a boost in their hopes of signing Gabriel Barbosa.

The Brazilian forward, who is 25, has scored 104 goals in 147 games for Flamengo.

However, Sky Sports News suggests that Barbosa wants another crack at Europe, and is set to tell Flamengo that he wants to be sold.

Barbosa struggled during a spell at Inter Milan, but believes he is now a more complete and mature player.

West Ham's most recent offer was an 18-month loan deal, along with an option to sign Barbosa permanently for €30 million.
