Fully fit Loftus-Cheek eager to join young teammates in Chelsea XI

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is eager to join his young teammates in the Chelsea XI now he's fully fit.

Loftus-Cheek says he's delighted with the number youngsters in Frank Lampard's first-team squad and believes Chelsea will soon be challenging for the Premier League title.

Academy graduates Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Fikayo Tomori have all made a significant impact this season.

“The young boys have done really well so credit to them," Loftus-Cheek told Chelsea's official website. “They've shown that they can play at this level and help the team win. The gaffer always said he would play academy players but they have to be doing well to play.

“We've had times on the pitch where we know ourselves that we need to improve but that's just football and if we can improve on what we've talked about as a collective then we could really be a team that's in contention for titles in the future."
