Fulham youngster Ben Davis warned he risks jail

Fulham youngster Ben Davis has been warned he risks jail for avoiding Singaporean national service.

Davis, 18, joined the Cottagers in July, signing a two-year deal with the west London club.

But the Singapore government denied his application to defer his duties.

Now the country's Ministry of Defence have declared: "Mr Benjamin Davis is a national service defaulter

"He failed to report for national service as required. He is also staying overseas without a valid Exit Permit."

All men from Singapore over 18 must serve in the armed forces, police or civil defence force for two years.
