Fulham striker Josh Maja believes the team can avoid relegation this season.
Maja made his debut for the club against Fulham and got two goals in a 2-0 win.
Now the Cottagers must try and win their upcoming games against Burnley and Sheffield United to close the gap on Newcastle United and other teams above them.
"Yeah definitely [it gives us hope]," Maja told BT Sport.
"Of course wins give the fans and players confidence and we want to take that into the next games and keep picking up more points.
"It is a big one, we came into the game wanting to win it. We have had the results we wanted in recent games and our performances didn't deserve that.
"We took the chance when they came, we are happy and want to continue like this."
