Fulham are releasing Tim Fosu-Mensah from his loan to return to parent club Manchester United.
United confirmed the news in a statement:
"Manchester United can confirm that Tim Fosu-Mensah will return to the club for rehabilitation after undergoing knee ligament surgery.
"This is following an assessment of the injury that the 21-year-old defender sustained while playing for his loan club Fulham, in their 2-0 win over Everton at Craven Cottage last weekend."
The Dutchman has made 13 appearances this season in all competitions for the Cottagers, who have been relegated to the Championship after just one season back in the top flight.
