Fulham not 'dead and buried' insists Meulensteen

Fulham manager Rene Meulensteen is confident that Sunday's 2-2 draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford has kept their survival hopes alive.

The Cottagers produced a very late leveller to hold United which brought them a point closer to second-bottom Cardiff City and only four points away from safety.

After the match, Meulensteen was buoyed by a much-improved showing which he hopes acts as motivation for his players to climb out of the dreaded drop zone.

"The most important thing is that we got a point. I think a lot of people had started to classify us as dead and buried, but we learn from that," he told Sky Sports.

"We have got far too much quality in the team and far too much team spirit to be down where we are. That showed today. Hopefully now we can kick on."
