Fulham are leading Nottingham Forest in the battle to sign Neco Williams from Liverpool.
The full-back is surplus to requirements at the Premier League giants.
According to Football League World, the Welsh international is expected to leave as he seeks regular game time ahead of the World Cup in December.
Both Forest and Fulham want to secure the 21-year-old right-back, who was impressive on loan at Fulham during the second half of last season.
Williams netted two goals and managed two assists in 14 games, as Marco Silva's team won promotion to the Premier League.
Forest are also back in the top flight, but may lose out to Fulham given Williams' positive experience at the club.
