Fulham in pole position to sign Sturm Graz star Zulj

Fulham are reportedly close to completing a move for Peter Zulj from Sturm Graz.

The player, who won the Austrian Footballer of the Year award, is thought to be eager to make a move to the English club.

According to sportreport.biz, QPR and Sheffield Wednesday are also being linked with the Austrian midfielder.

Zulj is 25 and has three caps for his country. He managed ten goals and 17 assists in 42 games for Sturm Graz last season.

Other clubs interested in the player include Hertha Berlin, Wolfsburg and Bayer Leverkusen. But Fulham are in pole position to secure his signature.

Speaking about potential sales, Sturm Graz chairman Christian Jauk is quoted by The Sun as saying: "We are in a strong position. Being in the Champions League next season is a trump card for us.

"Besides, we don't have any financial worries."
