Fulham and Hull City are battling for Sheffield United striker James Beattie.
United would be open to offers, if only to take Beattie's sizeable wages off the books, says the Daily Mail.
Although they value the former England striker at around £6million, they may be open to negotiate over the structure of the deal.
Beattie joined the Blades from Everton for £4m in 2007 and scored 34 goals in 62 games despite injuring knee ligaments last season.
