Fulham and Hull City have been alerted to Jeremie Aliadiere's availability at Middlesbrough.
The News of the World says Boro boss Gordon Strachan is planning his own January clear-out and will look to raise funds by flogging Didier Digard, Julio Arca and Aliadiere.
Frenchman Aliadiere was linked with Fulham and Hull in the summer, among several top-flight clubs following Boro's relegation last season.
