Fulham to hand Zamora pay-rise for rejecting Liverpool

Fulham are ready to hand Bobby Zamora a bumper pay-rise.

The Mirror says Zamora is set to be handed a lucrative new £50,000-a-week deal at Fulham after the club dismissed interest from Liverpool on Deadline Day.

Zamora, 29, was one of the most improved players in the Premier League last season, shooting Fulham to the Europa League Final.

The marksman would also have been in Fabio Capello's squad for the World Cup and the forthcoming Euro 2012 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Switzerland had he not been injured.

Now Fulham boss Mark Hughes is ready to tie the striker to the club for the next four years, doubling his £25,000-a-week wages.
