Fulham defender Denis Odoi feels he let down Slavisa Jokanovic after his sacking last week.

Fulham kicked off the Claudio Ranieri era with victory over Southampton.

Odoi, who was one of the first signings under the Jokanovic regime, said in the matchday programme: "We're responsible for it in the end, although no one plays badly on purpose.

"We always gave 100 per cent. Slavisa knew we always gave our all, but you do feel responsible as it's not just the main man that leaves, it's also members of his coaching staff and they have families.

"I feel like I let down Slavisa as he gave me a lot.

"I'm 30 and I'm playing in the Premier League, which is due to him. I won't forget that."
