Fulham confident keeping Mitrovic

Fulham management believe Aleksandar Mitrovic is prepared to play in the Championship with them.

The Serbian striker has attracted interest from Premier League clubs after hitting double-figures this season - but the Cottagers want to resist cashing in, says The Sun.

But there is hope the 24-year-old will STAY at the club for a second go at reaching the top-flight, following his loan from Newcastle last season when he played his part in play-off glory.

Mitrovic has settled well in London despite relegation this season, with his ten-goal return coming despite his team struggling under Slavisa Jokanovic and Claudio Ranieri.

And his £22million deal came with a five-year deal that runs until 2023, meaning there is no pressure to sell.
