Fulham caretaker boss Parker: Wolves won through fine margins

Fulham caretaker boss Scott Parker admitted frustration after their 1-0 defeat at Wolves.

Leander Dendocker's late strike separated the two teams.

"We came here today knowing it was going to be a tough game," Parker said. "We wanted to take the sting out of it and follow the gameplan of denying Wolves the ball, and I felt we did that very, very well.

"You're dealing in fine margins in the sense that when you come away from home you work your opportunities, and we worked a big opportunity but today it didn't go in for us.

"Of course we rode our luck at times, Wolves had some good chances and in the end they put one away, but I'm very proud of the team and the way we played. It was very pleasing.

"Since we came in eight or nine weeks ago, we've shown real improvement, and last three or four weeks the results have shown that as well which makes it a lot easier.

"Last game of the season now [next week against Newcastle], and our main focus is next year, planning for what's going to be a massive campaign for us, a massive year of trying to bounce back and get into this league.

"We need to try and prepare as well as we can now."
