Fulham boss Marco Silva is adamant Aleksandar Mitrovic will prove himself Premier League class.

The Serb striker has taken Fulham to the cusp of an immediate return to the top flight with a remarkable 38 goals from their 39 games.

Silva, also with reputation restored, said: "He has been phenomenal.

"I was clear what I expected from him, our philosophy and how he could be a key player for us.

"I was not worried about his fixture after that conversation wanted to be part of the project, be with me and be a part of the football club.

"It is difficult to find a player in the Premier League, fighting for top six or the championship who has scored more than 30 goals.

"If you expect someone to score over 30 goals you are not thinking in a normal way."
