Fulham boss Scott Parker admits they need to buy before next week's deadline.

The Whites were battered for a third consecutive Premier League match against Aston Villa on Monday, leaving them rooted to the bottom of the table.

Fulham have signed a new keeper, right-back and left-back this summer, but are crying out for a centre-back.

And Parker has hinted one may be on the way.

“It's well documented that we are trying to bring people in, I've highlighted that and the club understand that,"Parker told Sky Sports.

“I'm a fighter, that's the way it's always been, and my team are. I didn't see a team here who downed tools for one second, I saw a team with energy and always trying to get themselves back in the game.

“We just need to try and eradiate the mistakes, whether that is improving on the training ground or getting some help in from the transfer market."
