Fulham boss Parker delighted for club after shock Everton win

Fulham stunned Europa League chasing Everton with a 2-0 win on Saturday.

Captain Tom Cairney opened the scoring with just the second Premier League goal of his career and his first since scoring against Everton for Hull in March 2010 and it was Ryan Babel who would wrap up a rare win for the home side.

"It's been a while since we've won a match and it was fully deserved today. I thought we were superb from start to finish. That was the most pleasing thing," explained Cottagers boss Scott Parker.

"The result was a by-result of the work we've done during the last nine days and the lads have been fantastic in their application. It was a big three points for us.

"As a Club - the staff, the fans, everyone involved – we haven't had a lot to shout about really and albeit we've been relegated, I hope that today eases that a little bit. Fulham's Caretaker Manager gave credit to each and every fan, who helped push his side to victory.

"The crowd were amazing I thought," Parker continued.

"At Watford they stayed behind after the team had been relegated.

"It's cliché but the fans were fantastic and Craven Cottage was alive, and it was probably set about by the players.

"The players took the front foot and that got the crowd behind us. From the start to finish, I thought we were superb. If ever the focus was on this team, it was now."
