Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen is confident of the continued support of club owner Shahid Khan.

The 49-year-old has been backed by Khan following Tuesday's shock FA Cup defeat to Sheffield United but admits the situation at Craven Cottage needs to improve.

Meulensteen said: "I have been in contact with him this week and he has given me his full support, making sure we stay focused and optimistic. I am well aware that we need results but there are still a lot of games and a lot of points to play for. We have to pick ourselves up and dust ourselves off."
