Fulham boss Martin Jol is close to securing Andy Johnson to a new contract.
The Daily Star Sunday says Jol has so far resisted Johnson's request for a three-year deal, instead offering a two-year contract.
But the hotshot continued his amazing form in Europe with two goals against Wisla Krakow on Thursday night - one of which is a contender for goal of the season.
An insider said: "Martin was holding out but Andy's season keeps getting better. It looks like he's earned an extra year. The deal will be on the table before long."
