Fulham boss Jokanovic has no complaints for Everton defeat

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic had no complaints after their 3-0 defeat at Everton.

The Whites had good chances with the score goalless – and also at just 1-0 down – but failed to take them, with the hosts going on to win by three.

“It was a tough afternoon," Jokanović admitted. “We played acceptably well in the first 45 minutes but weren't clinical enough. We had the opportunity to score the goals, [but] we didn't do it.

“In the second half, for some reason we didn't reach our level. They had a little bit more power and a little bit more speed to find the way to score three easy goals. We weren't at a high enough level in these moments to defend the situation.

“It's definitely not good news for us, conceding at the beginning of the Premier League so many goals. We must be more clinical and fix this problem at the back.

“At the beginning of the game our plan was working well. We controlled the situation and we created the chances, just unfortunately for us we weren't clinical enough, and now we are talking about a really bad afternoon for us.

“Okay, after a loss like today it's not the best, but we must be strong, we must trust in ourselves, we must be solid.

“We didn't show enough ambition, we didn't show enough to try and change the story, and we must change this kind of situation.

“Nothing is tragic, but we definitely didn't show our maximum today here at Goodison Park."
