Fulham boss Hodgson delighted with Johnson signing

Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is delighted with the business they did in signing Andy Johnson.

"Everton boss David Moyes speaks very highly of Andy. He wasn't that keen on letting him go, but he needed money to sign Marouane Fellaini and Johnson wanted to return south," Hodgson told the Mail on Sunday.

"We've been enamoured with Andy's work-rate. He is aggressive, never gives up and is always making threatening runs behind defenders. I'm not saying Johnson is as good a player as Rooney, but there are similarities in their games.

"Andy is a good technician, like Wayne he strikes a good ball. There are more goals to come from him and (Bobby) Zamora."
