Fulham have made an attempt for Juventus defender Medhi Benatia.

Cottagers boss Claudio Ranieri is eager to bring Benatia to London and an approach was made to Juve yesterday.

Fulham were keen to set up a loan arrangement this week, says TMW.

However for the moment, Juve are refusing to do business - though negotiations are continuing today.

Fulham want to straight loan for Benatia to June with no permanent option.
