Aleksandar Mitrovic says he will always love Newcastle United.

Mitrovic spent three seasons at St. James' Park between 2015 and 2018 before joining Fulham last summer.

And the Serb thinks Toon are as big of a club as Arsenal and Everton.

"I will always love Newcastle," he told TalkSPORT.

"I loved my time there and I will always be a Newcastle fan.

"I had a great relationship with everyone in the club, in the city and it was a great time.

"It was a little bit tough because I didn't plays a much as I wanted and for me, that was a problem.

"But it is a great place, a really big club and these fans and that club, I think, deserve more.

"I think in the future they will get more and get where they should be - top six or top seven - because I think Newcastle are as big as Everton, maybe Arsenal.

"They have a big history. Big players played there, big managers worked there and this is a club with loads of big history."
