Frenkie De Jong assures Barcelona amid Bayern Munich, Real Madrid contact

Barcelona are happy to rundown their pursuit of Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong to the final hours of the summer market.

Mundo Deportivo says despite the protests of Ajax management, Barca are determined to close a deal for De Jong before the transfer window shuts.

For his part, De Jong has made it clear he won't consider anyother offer but to join the LaLiga champs. His agent, Ali Dursun, has visited Barcelona at least three times since May as negotiations intensify.

Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid have also asked about his situation. But De Jong only wants a move to Barca.

The Catalans are willing to go to €45-50m for the Dutchman - but that won't be enough for Ajax chief Marc Overmars. The former Barca star is adamant De Jong is worth far more at today's market rates.
